LIFELINE STILL PROVIDING VITAL COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury’s counselling and telephone support services are running as usual with a few modifications for everyone’s health and safety.

With the continuing changing situation around COVID-19 it is understandable that some in our community are feeling anxious and unsure. If those feelings become overwhelming, we’d like to remind you that Lifeline has several support services and very good listeners ready to take your call.

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury will continue to provide caring support without judgement or religious or cultural bias in a safe and respectful environment.

Way2Wellness 1300 120 446:

This service is available Mon-Thurs 1pm – 6pm. In periods of isolation we can help you maintain your mental health and create connection through our telephone service.

Our supporters will help you find some e-mental health tools to give you some time out and let you focus on what is important to you. We will then phone you back up to 4 times over the next 4 weeks to help you stay on track and discuss how you are feeling. You could call this your mental health mentor.

Counselling Services:

All counselling services are still available. Delivery of counselling and psychological services will be via phone or video link.

Community Services:

Financial Counselling, Legal Support and Emergency Relief are continuing with phone or video appointments.

Community Aid and Community Visitors Scheme – nursing home and home visits, accompanied shopping and transport services have been suspended. Every client will be offered the option of support phone calls and, for Community Aid clients, delivery of groceries by volunteers is also available.

24/7 Support:

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, we are here for you. Call Lifeline on 13 11 14 (24/7). Lifeline Text is available on 0477 13 11 14 (6pm – midnight)
